    Operations Coordinator

    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY The Operations Coordinator is a trusted operational partner to the Executive Director and serves as the organizational hub for the Resource Conservation District. This position plays a critical role in helping the organization operate efficiently by coordinating projects, supporting staff, managing administrative and governance functions, and ensuring organizational priorities continue moving forward. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Operations Coordinator translates priorities into action by maintaining organizational systems, tracking projects and deadlines, supporting Board governance, coordinating contract administration, and providing day-to-day operational guidance to staff. Although this position does not directly supervise employees, it serves as a key resource for staff by helping answer questions, navigate organizational processes, remove bottlenecks, and coordinate work across teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and collaborative, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and keep multiple priorities moving simultaneously.

    Requirements

    Required • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in operations coordination, executive support, nonprofit administration, project management, or a related field. • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across multiple projects and teams while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. • Experience supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced environment. • Strong project management and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management software such as Monday.com or similar platforms. • Ability to establish positive working relationships and provide guidance and support to colleagues without direct supervisory authority. Preferred • Experience working in a nonprofit organization, public agency, special district, or conservation-related organization. • Experience supporting Boards of Directors or public governing bodies. • Familiarity with contracts, grant administration, or compliance tracking. • Experience developing or improving organizational systems and workflows.
